mission rooted and founded on the charism of CMC and the spirit of the founder fathers,Mary Matha has taken her first steps. Indeed we cherish the milestones of the past which has found on a blissful balance between prayer, work and kinship between its members. Inevitably, these lives evoked the need for sisters' presence in the neighbouring parishes. Accordingly, newly forming convents and new vocations are on the increase. Meanwhile we realized the dream of having a provincial house dedicated to Mother Mary at Vengoor in 1993. A fine blend of contemplation and action of our zealous sisters witnessed the glory of God which eventually made missions to flourish further. In education field we have schools from primary class level to professional course level. Sisters have undertaken various ministries reading the signs of the time. We are focusing more on the mission of Jesus which was directed towards the oppressed and drown trodden; Family Visits, Counselling, Workshops and Classes with the aim of Women Empowerment, City evangelisation, Bible Nursery, Christeen programme, Campus ministry, giving shelter and care for the refugees from different parts of the world and Christian formation and Direct proclamation of the Word of God. In this respect Mary Matha increase in strength of members, convents and apostolate leading to sprouting of a blooming bud - Carmel Jyothi Region, Kurnool of Mary Matha on 14 of November 2008 The devotion and commitment of its members along with other factors made it develop to the various facets of mission. At present Mary Matha has 33 convents including one in New Delhi, one in Germany, one in Africa,one in Peru and one residence with totally 489 sisters . Being united to the main stem CMC we assist the Church in accomplishing her ministry. We thank God, our Heavenly Father for the growth and blessings we've received from His infinite mercy and love. Our hope and prayer is a vision for the future which read the signs of the time,truly the mind of Christ.
